Important tips for assembly and maintenance: When installing the new axle, you should thoroughly clean the wheel hub inside. A key factor for longevity is lubrication: Use plenty of high-quality bearing grease (rolling bearing grease) to bed the balls in the cone shells. When setting the bearing play, a delicate touch is required: The axle should turn easily without noticeable lateral play in the wheel. Also, note that when installing a speedometer drive, one of the spacer washers must be omitted to ensure the overall width is correct. After the first kilometers, be sure to check the tight fit of the outer axle nuts again.
