The headlight for Piaggio Ciao P - PV - PX is supplied with a voltage converter/regulator that converts the input voltage from 6V AC to 12V DC, as well as transforms the voltage type from 12V AC (alternating current) to 12V DC (direct current).

The installation is carried out as with the original headlight. The colors of the cables correspond to the colors of the original system.

If the on-board electrical system has already been upgraded to 12V DC (direct current, battery-supported), the installation of the converter is still recommended to ensure stable current flow and a longer lifespan.

 

WARNING: The headlight must not be connected directly (without converter) to a 12V alternating current (AC) power source (the LEDs are not suitable for pulsating alternating current and would be destroyed).

 

The light features two light combinations:

- Low beam and position

- Low beam, high beam, and position
