Caberg Trip Flip-Helmet – Your Reliable Companion in Matte Black

TRIP is the first FLIP-BACK helmet from Caberg with a reversible chin piece that is moved by a single pivot joint.
Compared to conventional modular helmets, the chin piece does not rest on top of the helmet shell when opened, but performs a 180-degree rotation to the back of the helmet shell. The helmet is approved according to ECE 22.06 P and J, meaning it can be used both as a full-face helmet with a closed chin piece and as a jet helmet with an open chin piece, thus meeting the demands of motorcyclists who wish to tour without compromising versatility.

The chin piece of the TRIP can be opened and closed with just one hand and can be locked in the open position with the P/J lever on the right side of the helmet shell to prevent inadvertent closure.

Air circulation is ensured by an adjustable air inlet at the top of the helmet, two rear air outlets, and a large opening at the chin piece, as well as integrated channels in the inner shell that direct airflow inward.

The TRIP features a transparent, scratch-resistant outer visor and a fog-free Pinlock Max Vision 70 lens included in the package, as well as an integrated, scratch-resistant sun visor that is long enough to protect the face while riding, even with the chin piece open and the clear visor raised. Additionally, a tinted visor and a silver mirrored visor are available as spare parts.

Like the models DRIFT EVO II, TANAMI, and GP01, the TRIP is equipped with the CABERG SOS MEDICAL ID – an integrated electronic device that can store personal data, medical information, and emergency contacts. Thanks to NFC technology, emergency services can quickly access important data in case of an emergency by scanning the CABERG SOS MEDICAL ID sticker on the helmet with a smartphone. This allows direct access to emergency contacts, the use of medical information, or the ability to inform emergency contacts via SMS about the location.

The inner lining is made of breathable and hypoallergenic materials, which are fully removable and washable. The cheek pads are designed to allow the use of glasses. The chin strap is equipped with a micrometric buckle for easy adjustment.

The TRIP is ready for equipping with the Caberg Pro Speak EVO communication system, which allows music to be played via mobile phone or MP3, maintains the connection to the passenger up to 200 m, and can connect to a GPS system. To ensure maximum safety, the TRIP has passed all ECE 22.06 tests with the installed Caberg Pro Speak EVO.

Tips for Assembly and Care

• Visor Care: Clean the visor and sun visor only with lukewarm water and a soft microfiber cloth. Avoid aggressive cleaners to prevent damaging the anti-fog coating.

• Padding Cleaning: The inner lining can be completely removed. It is best washed by hand or on a gentle cycle at 30°C in a laundry net to keep its shape stable for a long time.

• Fit Check: Ensure that the chin strap buckle (ratchet closure) fits snugly but does not press. A flip helmet should fit as tightly in the closed position as a full-face helmet.
