Installation & Care Tips

• Cleanliness is key: Before placing the new gasket, the sealing surfaces on the cylinder and cylinder head must be completely free of residues from old gaskets, soot, or grease. Carefully use a scraper and some brake cleaner for this.

• Cross-tightening: To avoid warping of the cylinder head, always tighten the nuts in a crisscross pattern and in small increments. It’s best to use a torque wrench (be sure to follow the manufacturer's specifications, usually about 8–10 Nm).

• Single-use item: Aluminum gaskets adapt individually to the surfaces when first tightened. After dismounting the head, you should always replace the gasket with a new one to guarantee 100% sealing.

• Retightening: Check the cylinder head nuts after the first 50 kilometers of riding and lightly retighten them if necessary, as the material may settle due to the initial thermal load.
