Optimize the compression and ensure maximum tightness on your Puch moped!
This cylinder head gasket made of high-quality aluminum is precisely manufactured for the legendary Puch Maxi S / N (1-speed automatic) as well as Puch X30 models (NG, Sport, NS, NL). With a thickness of 0.4 mm, it offers the ideal balance between reliable sealing and a slight optimization of compression compared to conventional, thicker paper gaskets or soft standard gaskets.
Aluminum has crucial advantages as a material: it is extremely heat-resistant, deforms precisely under pressure to compensate for unevenness between the cylinder and the head, and conducts the combustion heat efficiently. This gasket is therefore perfectly suited for both original 50 cc engines and light tuning setups.
Your advantages at a glance:
Fit: Specifically developed for Puch Maxi and X30 engines.
Robust material: High-strength aluminum, durable and dimensionally stable.
Optimal thickness: 0.4 mm for a clean seal without excessive compression loss.
Heat resistant: Can withstand high loads on longer rides without any issues.
Installation & Care Tips
Cleanliness is key: Before placing the new gasket, the sealing surfaces on the cylinder and cylinder head must be completely free of residues from old gaskets, soot, or grease. Carefully use a scraper and some brake cleaner for this.
Cross-tightening: To avoid warping of the cylinder head, always tighten the nuts in a crisscross pattern and in small increments. It’s best to use a torque wrench (be sure to follow the manufacturer's specifications, usually about 8–10 Nm).
Single-use item: Aluminum gaskets adapt individually to the surfaces when first tightened. After dismounting the head, you should always replace the gasket with a new one to guarantee 100% sealing.
Retightening: Check the cylinder head nuts after the first 50 kilometers of riding and lightly retighten them if necessary, as the material may settle due to the initial thermal load.
