Clutch Cover Gasket Puch Maxi 1-Speed / X30 / Sachs
In order to keep everything dry in your moped and to ensure that the gearbox oil stays exactly where it belongs, a high-quality clutch cover gasket is indispensable. This gasket is tailor-made for the common 1-speed engines of the Puch Maxi models as well as for many X30 and various Sachs engines. It forms a reliable barrier between the engine casing and the clutch cover.
Installation and Maintenance Tips
Clean surfaces: Before placing the new gasket, the sealing surfaces on the engine casing and the cover must be absolutely clean and free of old gasket residues. It’s best to use a scraper and some brake cleaner for this.
Grease thinly: A little trick from the workshop: Coat both sides of the gasket very thinly with some grease. This keeps the gasket in place during installation and ensures that it doesn’t stick to the metal and tear when you open it next time.
Even tightening: Insert all the screws of the clutch cover by hand first. Then, tighten them evenly in a cross pattern to ensure uniform clamping pressure and avoid warping.
Post-check: After the first test ride, you should briefly check whether everything has remained sealed. If necessary, you can slightly retighten the screws after the first thermal load.
