External capacitor for all Piaggio Ciao, Si, Bravo, Boxer, Eco, Grillo, Gilera EC1 and CBA moped & moped models with contact ignition.

The issues with the unreliable internal capacitor are now a thing of the past.

 

The old internal cup capacitor is only needed as a felt holder. Simply cut the yellow wire from the internal capacitor to the breaker, done.

 

The ring eye of the external capacitor is attached to the frame together with the ignition coil, and the terminal is connected to the coil by the impulse sensor cable from the engine.

 

You can easily secure the capacitor itself to the frame with double-sided tape.

 

WARNING: Please do not attempt to bend the wires at the solder pins, the pins break as soon as they are bent. Please install as delivered. We offer a specially designed 3D-printed case for the installation of the capacitor, see "Recommendation" below.
