Installation and Maintenance Tips

• Careful Cleaning: Before installing the new spacer, you should thoroughly clean the entire crankshaft and the bearing housing from old grease, dirt, and any metal shavings.

• Lubrication: Although the plastic is extremely slippery, it is recommended to apply a very thin film of high-quality multi-purpose grease on the crankshaft during assembly to facilitate installation and prevent moisture ingress.

• Check for Wear: When replacing, also check the bottom bracket spacers themselves and the crankshaft for wear grooves or damage to ensure a perfectly functioning pedal system.
